Local Health Ideas Win Recognition
The projects cover climate, transport, food and ageing.
WHO recognized nine Healthy City champions at a ceremony in Sydney. Eight cities received awards for local programmes, while an Indonesian national forum received a special regional award.
The selected projects include safer school zones in Phnom Penh, healthier public food buying in Quezon City and neighbourhood support for older people in Singapore. More than 150 entries were submitted for the 2026 awards.
