Aspyr Releases a Tomb Raider Anniversary Montage
Older adventures return in a retrospective.
Connected ideas · More detail
Level 2 offers a middle path between our simplest news version and the more detailed Level 3 text. Sentences connect events with reasons, results or contrasts, and the vocabulary is more varied. Choose this version if you can follow a short report but want practice explaining how its ideas fit together.
Illustrative example — not a news report
A library opened on Monday, allowing local children to borrow books without travelling to the next town.
Allowing connects the opening with a new opportunity. Without travelling adds a practical detail. When summarising, preserve that relationship instead of listing unrelated words.
Try it: Which detail explains how the new library makes borrowing books easier?
Local children do not need to travel to the next town. The example does not say that books are free to keep or that the old library has closed.
Use Level 1 to check the central facts if you lose the thread. Try Level 3 to compare a more detailed expression of the same story. These are flexible reading choices, not a certified CEFR assessment or a promise that every article matches a particular exam band.
