Editorial policy

News by Levels adapts verified current events into original English-learning material at three reading levels.

How stories are selected

We choose timely stories that can help learners understand the world and practise useful English. We aim for a varied mix of world news, science, health, technology, culture, business, and the environment.

Verification and sources

New stories are checked against recent, reliable sources before publication. We distinguish confirmed events from proposals, predictions, and future plans. Source organizations and direct links appear with newer articles so readers can examine the original reporting or announcement.

Original adaptation

Our versions are written for learners and are not sentence-by-sentence copies. Level 1 uses short sentences and common words. Level 2 adds detail and intermediate vocabulary. Level 3 uses more precise vocabulary and advanced sentence structures. The central facts remain consistent at every level.

Use of AI and human review

Automated tools may assist with research organization, language adaptation, and technical publishing. Each new story follows an editorial workflow that checks dates, factual consistency, source attribution, and the differences between reading levels before publication.

Corrections

We correct material factual errors when they are identified. If you believe a story contains an error or lacks necessary context, please contact us with the article link and supporting information.
