WHO Shares Heat Safety Advice
Large events can protect people during very hot weather.
Hot weather can make people sick at sports, religious and cultural events. Crowds, long periods outside and limited water can make the danger worse.
The World Health Organization published new advice for event planners. It recommends safe drinking water, cool places, schedule changes and trained medical teams. WHO says many people can receive treatment at the event when good systems are ready.
