New Glenn Can Compete for Future NASA Launches
NASA expanded an existing contract to include Blue Origin's rocket.
NASA added Blue Origin's New Glenn 9x4 service to its NASA Launch Services II contract. The agency's Launch Services Program can now consider the rocket when it selects vehicles for future government missions.
The change does not assign a launch to New Glenn. The contract includes several providers and allows new rockets to join through an annual competition. Orders can be placed through June 2030, and work under the contract can continue through December 2032.
