Cardiff University researchers have joined the UK team working on NASA's planned PRIMA space observatory. They will provide far-infrared filters and internal calibration equipment.
PRIMA will use a 1.8-metre telescope to study light that other observatories cannot easily see. The mission is targeted for launch in 2033 and is expected to operate for five years.
