Pakistan has stopped a big weapons deal with Sudan for now.

Reuters reported on April 20, 2026 that the deal was worth about $1.5 billion and included weapons and military jets.

Sources said Saudi Arabia asked Pakistan to end the agreement and also said it would not pay for it.

This is important because Saudi Arabia is a close partner for Pakistan and often gives financial help.

Sudan is already in a very serious conflict. The war there has caused a humanitarian crisis and drawn in outside powers.

Because of that, the decision is not only about money. It also shows how regional politics can change military plans very quickly.
