Final-Day Results Complete MLB Bracket
The Phillies and Astros settled the remaining postseason questions.
Major League Baseball's 12-team postseason field was completed on the final day of the regular season. Philadelphia clinched the third National League wild-card berth with a 7-3 victory over Tampa Bay, while Houston secured the American League West after Texas fell 6-4 to Minnesota.
The wild-card round begins Tuesday with Boston visiting the Yankees, the White Sox playing at Houston, the Cubs travelling to San Diego and Philadelphia facing Atlanta. Each opening series uses a best-of-three format.
