Carlos Alcaraz overturned a one-set deficit against Taylor Fritz in Paris on November 6, saving two match points before winning 6–7, 7–5, 6–3. The victory earned him his first semifinal appearance at the Paris Masters.
The result had consequences beyond this tournament. Fritz needed a win to take the last available place at the ATP Finals; instead, Rafael Jodar qualified. Alcaraz had already secured his own place.
The eight-player season finale will run from November 15 to 22 in Turin. Jodar will be one of four first-time participants.
