Oxford Street Begins Its Traffic-Free Phase

Name: __________________________ Date: __________________

Read the story

London removed ordinary traffic from Oxford Street between Orchard Street and Great Portland Street on October 26. Buses are using nearby roads, and bicycles are also excluded from the section.

Mobility scooters and emergency vehicles retain access. The initial public-space changes are temporary, allowing feedback to shape later improvements. The traffic restriction is in place, but construction continues.
