Read the story
Supermarkets in several European countries reported problems with their fridges and freezers on November 2. Cyberattacks caused some systems to warm up, spoiling food and disrupting stores.
The affected countries included Sweden, Belgium and Ireland. Sky News reported that Irish supermarket chain SuperValu said a particular model of refrigeration system was affected in 13 of its 223 stores. Chilled and frozen products were removed from sale.
The new incidents followed a separate wave involving French shops in October. According to the Associated Press, investigators had not established who was behind the attacks or their motive.
