Amazon Expands Holiday Recruitment

Name: __________________________ Date: __________________

Read the story

Amazon announced plans for over 300,000 jobs across its US operations on October 20. Recruitment covers seasonal, part-time and full-time roles.

It also said qualifying seasonal staff working at least 30 hours weekly will gain healthcare coverage from January 1, 2027. That change has not started yet.

The announcement combined role types and separate timetables. A hiring plan describes intended recruitment, while the January benefit change has its own eligibility rules and start date. Neither should be treated as a count of completed hires or an immediate benefit for every applicant.
