Spanish studies in China have more enrolments. A new Instituto Cervantes report says these enrolments rose by 12.6% between 2023 and 2025. UNAM China reported the figures on October 27.

The figure covers language courses, optional subjects and language degree studies. It does not count every person who speaks Spanish. The institute's director says more teachers are needed as interest grows.
