Oxford Street Makes More Room for People

Name: __________________________ Date: __________________

Read the story

Part of London’s Oxford Street became traffic free on October 26. The change covers the section between Orchard Street and Great Portland Street. Cars, buses and bikes cannot travel along it.

There are exceptions: mobility scooters and emergency vehicles still have access. Work to improve the area is continuing. Removing traffic does not mean the whole redesign is finished.
