Small Device Uses Sound to Help Liquids Spread

Name: __________________________ Date: __________________

Read the story

MIT scientists made a brain device that uses a tube and ultrasound, a sound people cannot hear. In tests on mice and tissue-like gel, ultrasound helped liquid spread farther.

The mouse test used a substance that makes scans clearer, not a cancer drug. Researchers hope a future version could deliver medicine after tumor surgery. It is not a proven treatment.
