Everton beat Coventry City 3–1 on November 6. Coventry scored first, but Thierno Barry then scored twice for Everton.

Barry also helped create Everton’s third goal. Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall scored it to complete the comeback.

It was a special match for Everton manager David Moyes. It was his 592nd game in charge of the club. He equalled Harry Catterick’s club record.
