Antonelli Is Fastest in US Qualifying

Name: __________________________ Date: __________________

Read the story

Kimi Antonelli took United States Grand Prix pole in October 24 qualifying. Verstappen was second and Hadjar third. The Mercedes driver’s 1:34.035 lap earned the leading grid position, not the later race victory.

Qualifying decides the starting order, not the race winner. The fastest qualifying lap gives a driver an advantage at the start, but other events can change the race. A later race report is needed to tell us who won.
