South Korea captures escaped zoo wolf alive
A missing zoo wolf was found after nine days.
People in South Korea were happy after officials safely caught a young wolf that had escaped from a zoo. The animal had been missing for nine days.
The wolf, named Neukgu, got out of his enclosure at O-World zoo in Daejeon on 8 April. Many people worried that he could be hurt outside or killed during the search.
Rescue teams used drones, police officers, emergency workers and veterinarians to look for him. On Friday, they found him on a hill near an expressway and used a tranquilizer to catch him safely.
The wolf was taken back to the zoo and was reported to be in stable condition. Vets removed a fishing hook from his stomach, but they said he had no other serious health problems.
